Help Ohio Take 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls

Form a team, take a walk, help stop an epidemic.

In a news release, the Ohio Department of Aging announced they are once again seeking walking groups and events to participate in their annual 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls campaign.

From the release:

The annual campaign encourages Ohioans of all ages to walk at least one mile during the month of September. Staying active as we age encourages healthy living and access to Ohio’s communities.

Local partners are asked to help raise awareness of older adult falls by hosting walking groups or events. At the end of September, AGE asks those partners to report the mileage walked by their group to contribute the department’s goal of 10 million steps.
